What is yoga?
Yoga is an ancient practice designed to free the mind and body, through stretch, strength and breath. Yoga also teaches us to become more mindful of our everyday practices.
Bodhi Studio practices slow flowing yoga to work all muscles; building strength, fitness, flexibility and releasing stress and tension, both in the body and the mind.
Who can practice yoga?
Yoga is for every body. No matter where you are starting there are always modifications and variations to suit each body. Those with acute and chronic injuries (enquire first) can also practice yoga, and in most cases yoga will aid in recovery.
Yoga is about the journey you take your body and mind on. Even if you are unflexible and unfit, starting yoga will help improve these!
In our classes we have people of all abilities - so if you're a little nervous about your first session, I can honestly say everyone started where you are right now.
Why Bodhi Studio?
Kelly has been teaching yoga for 18 months and practicing yoga for 10 years. She is passionate about helping teach her yoga students to slow down, find space in their busy lives, and support their bodies in the process.
Some weeks will be more challenging and other weeks more restorative, teaching not just yoga poses but also breath and incorporating yoga into your every day life.
We aim to make our studio comfortable and welcoming to all students. There is no judgement just understanding. We nurture and uplift our students, helping them find their own inner strength and empowerment.
